The Hack race was won by Uncle Tom, the Maiden Hack Eace by Stella, the Final Flutter by Uncle Tom, and the Goldsmith Handicap by Gabble, with Mountain Deer second. The sum passed through the totalisator was £1760. DUNEDIN RACES. The conclusion of Saturday’s racing was as follows : Geand Stand Handicap, of 60 sovs ; 6 furlongs. Mr McLean’s Lady Emma 1 Mr Bates' The Jilt 2 Water Nymph and Epicure also ran. Time—lmin 20secs. Out of £716 on the totalisator, £2BB was on the winner. Member’s Welter Plate, a sweep of 3 sovs, with 100 sots added; 7 furlongs. Mr Butler’s Emir Bey 1 Mason and Vallance’s Epicure ... 2 Violin, Captain Webster and The Painter also ran. Time —Imin 36sec. A dividend of £5 12s was paid on Emir Bey. The Consolation Trot was won by Wakatu (17secs) after an exciting finish with Bella (30secs.) Consolation Handicap of 40 sovs ; 1 mile.
