TIMARU—THIS DAY
(Before J. Beswick, Esq., R.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Charles Edward was fined 5s for this offence. William Sutherland for drunkenness was fined 10s, and for resisting the police, 20s or 48 hours’s imprisonment. This being this prisoners third conviction within 13 mouths, ho was further charged under the Habitual Drunkards Act, and sentenced to one months’ imprisonment with hard labor. breach op borough bye-laws. Jacob Young, for allowing two horses to be at large in Church street on the 25th inst., was fined 10s and 7s costs.
