The Mayor has received a telegram from the Private {Secretary *to the Governor, stating that His Excellency will be in Napier on the morning of the 29th inst. Domestics in Demand*' There is a great scarcity of domestic servant's.'- The migrants by the Westmeatb and Eangitikei will all find immediate employment. A Hearty Welcome Promised* Gisboene, May 18. ■ His Excellency the Governor has notified to the Mayor that he will visit Gisborne on the 28th instant. The inhabitants intend according him a_ loyal welcome. The existing harbor,, difficulties will be pointed out. Arrested for Arson* ' i Wellington, May 18. In connection with the recent fire at Waihenga Hotel, E iward Tolly has been arrested on a charge of arson. He was taken before a J.P. and admitted to bail, himself in £4OO, and two sureties in £2OO- each.
