CRICKET.
[By Cable], VICTORIA V. NEW SOUTH WALES. Melbourne, Dec. 27. The cricket match between elevens of Victoria and New South Wales was concluded to day, and resulted in a victory for Victoria by two wickets. New South Wales in their second innings, which they had followed on, scored 215. The Victorians made the required number of runs 129 with the loss of nine wickets, and thus won the match as already stated. ENGKLIS FI ELEVEN V. ADELAIDE. Adelaide, Dec. 26, The cricket match between the South Australian Fifteen and the English Eleven resulted in a draw. The first innings of the visitors closed for 293, as against 241 of the local team. Bates made 71, Barlow 62, and Selby 51. The Fifteen went in and had put together 28 for the loss of two wickets when play was stopped.
