Carterton, Dec. 19. —Some doubts are now felt as to whether Gole really attempted suicide, the wound being at the back of his head or neck, and the occipital artery being severed. He was bleeding to death when the doctor arrived and tied it up. Gole says he knows nothing of how it happened.
