[“ Age ” Special.] The Afghan War. London, Dec. 17.—An army of 10,000 is collecting at Peshawar, and will march in a few days. General Boberts is confident that he can hold Cabul until relief arrives, as he has five months supplies. There lias been an outbreak at Herat between the Cabulese and the Herati regiments of Ayob, who was unable to restore order. The Greek Frontier. M. Waddiugton suggests that the collective mediation of the great powers should settle the Greek frontier difficulty. A New Colony. The Crown Prince of German}' has submitted a scheme for the establishment of a German colony at Samba. The project has been favorably received.
