MAHURANGI REGATTA

The Mahuraugi Regatta Club held its annual regatta at Jackson's Bay,. M'ahurangi Heads, on Boxing Day, the flagship being Captain J. McKinnon's auxiliary vessel Raliiri, which lay in the bay. There was a large gathering of residents of W ark worth and surrounding districts and some keen contests were witnessed. The principal event was the annual contest for the Muritai Cup for yachts 22rt. and over. The race resulted in a win for Gipsy, with Moana second and Valkyrie third.
