Sports Entertainment
The entertainment in the Town Hall in the evening was produced by a number of performers from Aupkland, and passed off well, some of the performers being recalled. There was a great house, the hall being well filled with an appreciative audience. Amongst the performers whose items were enjoyed were those of Miss Joy Verran, elocutionist; Miss Mary Williamson and Mrs Shade, solo-
ists; Master Geo. Holland a fine youthful performer on the violin; Professor Entwistle, whose talent
,81.8: a-magician had preceded him, gave an exhibition which amused e'th© audience. The Hollands, a band of six musicians, played the overtures for the first and second parts, and also for the successful dance which followed later, their music being much appreciated.
