Te Arai.

(A Correspondent).

A very enjoyable evening was spent in the Te Arai south v schoel, on May 31st, 1912, when the ladies of TeArai gave a leap year social.

The weather had not been very favourable all the;week, bjit this did not seem to discourage the people and the ladies were favoured by a large gathering. The music was supplied by Messrs Pratt, Dennis, Came, and Mrs A. Pook. ' Miss Barkley performed the duties of M.C.

At 11 a.m. supped was handed round and dancing was kept up until the small hours of the morning.

During the evening two songs were rendered by Mr Cook and Mr Chipchase.
