Omaha.
(By a Correspondent).
A meeting of the Omaha Cricket club was held on May 30th. After the ordinary business had been dealt dealt with, the Rodney Cricket Association was fully and rather freely discussed, the meeting finally ending its deliberation by unanimously carrying a " Want of confidence in the Association as at' present constituted " for the following reasons :—
1. That they endorsed the action of Port Albert in playing unqualified men on one occasion.
2. That they endorsed the action of Matakana in playing unqualified men on one occasion.
: 3. That they endorsed the action of Port Albert and Matakana in playing visitors to their respective, districts on several occasions, there being no rule in the rule book qualifying " visitors " to play on a fourteen days residence.
4. That the secretary failed to register the points sent in by the Omaha secretary in the Omaha v. Pakiri match, also the Port Albert v. Omaha match, within the prescribed time. The secretary was instructed to forward the to the Association. As this resolution will probably be dealt with at the Association's next meeting all clubs interested should hare their delegates in attendance that a full discussion may ensue.
