FEDERATION OF LABOUR.

Per Press Association. Wellington, July 8 The annual conference of the United Federation of Labour was concluded to-day. It was decided that the Federation should cease to exist as a national body, and that it should be a recommendation to district councils to oontinueas trades and labour councils it was -further resolved that an endeavour be made to get Unions affiliated to organise industrially and nationally so that they might become affiliated with the Alliance of Labour. The question of coloured labour was discussed, and the Conference expressed the opinion that check should he put on the inflax of Asiatics, as it was convinced that those people were being induced to come here by capitalistic combines for the purpose of . increasing the letters' dividends and reducing the standard of living of New Zealand workers. It was decided to confer on this question with the New Zealand Labour Party.
