AMERICAN POLITICS.

United Press Association —Bj' Electric Telegraph—Copyright Received June 33, 10 am. Washington, June 21

All kinds of speculations are being indulged in concerning the Democratic Convention at San Francisco on 38th June, Delegates representing Wilsonian opinion are expected to dominate the Convention, although Mr Bryan and Senator Reed are expected to give the President’s forces a stiff fight. A two-thirds majority will be needed by the successful aspirant. Messrs Glass and Colby, before leaving Washington for San 'Francisco, had individual conferences with President Wilson, at which it is said the President gave them drafts of the platform which the President wishes to have the Democratic Convention adopt. This platform is understood to take a firm stand for the League of Rations without nullifying the reservation, but it does ont mention the Irish nor Prohibition question.
