MAIN TRUNK UNION.
To the Editor. SIR,—I' see by the report appearing in your paper of the Rangitikei Rugby Sub-Union's meeting that the delegates are instructed to oppose the formation of a Main Trunk Union. If the Rangitikei SubUnion can show anything that the Wanganui Union has done for Main Trunk football I will forgive them. The Main Trunk is a countrv that can support a Union of their own and will not have (like Wanganui) to want Wanganui first, Wauganai second, and if anything left, give it to Wanganui. It is about time, Mr Editor, that the young places took the burden on their own shoulders and look to their own interest and district. The Main Trunk can look after themselves and do not want a grandfather out of riate like Wanganui Union. Trusting that I ate not taking too much apace—l am, etc., W McLENNAN. Mangaweka, June 21
