A conference of Irish delegates to the National Union of Railwaymen passed a resolution that the present murders and outrages were inevitable as a result of the Government's policy in not governing Ireland in accordance with the wishes of the people. The resolution adds: "We condemn outrages by all parties and appeal to the Irish people to protect human life and property. We appeal to the Government to prevent provocation by sending munitions to. Ireland." The resolution asks Mr Lloyd George to receive an Irish deputation tomorrow which may m'ake proposals enabling a solution to be reached.
