WEDDING.
GILBERT—LLOYD. S. Stephen's Church, Marton, was the scene of a verv pretty wedding yesterday, when Miss Gladys Lloyd, only daughter (,of Mr and Mrs E, Lloyd, Marton,~anri Mr Albert Edward, son of ivirs and the late Mr William Gilbert, of Nelson, wore united in the bonds of matiimony. Friends of tho happv couple filled the Church. The Rev. Rooke, of Hunterville, officiated, and Mr Whitehead played the Wedding March. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a pretty white hemstitched crope de chene dress, with the orthodox veil and orange blossoms. The bridesmaid, Miss Gladys McDonald, was nearly attired in saxe bine crepe c"e chene, with hat of black velvet with saxe blue feather trimming. Mrs Lloyd was becomingly attired in mole velvet and amethyst, and hat to match. Mr Leighton Ll3yd the bride's brother supported the bridegroom. At the coiielniion of the ceremony the gue3ts were entertained anri the customary toasts honoured. Numerous presents testified to the popularity of the newly wedded pair, and wishes for their happiness. The honeymoon is being spent in the Auckland district, and later they will take np their residence in Wanganui. where Mr Gilbert is on the staff of the Bank of New Zealand.
