Dalgety and 00. report having a small entry of sheep and cattle at their Bolls sale on Monday last, which sold as below :—Sheep : Medium lambs 18s, forward ewes 425, light fat ewes 25s 7d, wethers and maiden ewes 293, mixed age ewes in lamb 275. Cattle j Dairy heifers £B. WESTFIELD MARKET. There was keen demand for fat cattle at the Westneld stock market on Wednesday and values generally were firmer. Extra choice ox sold to £2 13s, choice and prime £2 8a to £2 lis, and ordinary from £2 4s to £2 7s, Steers ranged in price from £l9 10s to £22 17s 6d for heavy prime. There was keen inquiry for all classes of sheep, last week's advance being maintained. Extra heavy prime wethera made from £2 4s 6d to £2 7s, and heavy prime wethers from £2 0s 6d to £2 4s. An average supply of lambs met with a keen sale, the best heavy realising £1 10s to £1 13s. Fat young calves were penned in excess of requirements, consequently prices were much easier. Pigs were yarded in average numbers, competition was steady, and prices improved on last week's. Choppers brought up to £6, heavy baconers to £7 ss, and medium baconers £5 5s to £6 2s.
