The scheme provides for payment of a premium of 5s per anuum by each player, in return for which players will receive the benefit of the insurance scheme. It was decided that the matter was one for the individual clubs to arrange, and to refer the letter to each Olub for consideration. The delegate for the prospective new Olub explained the difficulty attached to getting a new team together when most of the players in the district were attached to either of the two clubs already in exist ence. It was decided that the cooa petition be commenced on Saturday, 29th inst. r that the players for each club be registered on chat date, and that the number of registered senior players be limited to eighteen 'for each club.

The through road proposal was being strongly advocated when the war broke out, and Government at that time recognised the importance of the highway, but it was decided to defer any further action until after the war.
