CATHOLIC CHURCH BURNT.
(Per Press Association.! Waipawa, March 24 The Catholic Church was gutted by fire early this morning. The flames had obtained a good hold when discovered and travelled rapidly. The tire started in the sanctuary, but the cause is un known. The building was insured for £SOO and furnishings for £175 in the Standard, and the organ for £875 in the Norwich Union. The loss is estimated at about £2OOO.
