London, March 18 In the Commons Mr MacPherson stated that since Ist Januarv, 1919, * eighteen Royal Irish Constabulary, sis Dublin police, two soldiers and one other Government servant were murdered in Ireland, while the murders of sixty-five Constabulary, seventeen Dublin police, four soldiers and three other Government servants were attempted, and there ha|i been twenty-five attacks .on police barracks. SENSATIONAL ARREST IN DUBLIN. London, March 18. A sensational raid, which lasted all dav, was made on the premises of Messrs Findlater, Dublin, grocers, well known throughout Ireland. They occupy extensive premises in Sackviile street. A large force of soldiers and police searched the cellars and overhauled the rooms where the assistants slept. They ordered girl assistants to leave their beds, but the girls refused, Tho police refrained from insisting on the order being obeyed. Finally they arrested Jacob, the manager, and five others. DASTARDLY ASSASSINS. London, March 17 Assassins fired fiwe shots into the backs of two Irish constables who w ere returning to barracks at Kenagli from a Catholic Church. One was killed and the other was removed to hospital in a precarious condition.
