Polk, who is framing a memorandum to the Allies, It is understood President Wilson asserts that the Turk has no right to remain in Constantinople and should be ejected, London, March 21 It is understood that the Greeks are prepared to undertake the task of dealing with MustaphaKemai’s force in Anatolia, which is estimated at 40.000, The Greek Army at present in Asia Minor is ready to act, if necessary. It comprises sis divisions of 15,000 each, the total bayonet strength being 59,000, with two hundred guns. It is stated that Mustapha’s force is vary scattered, with only a small proportion of old Turkish regulars. Meanwhile, it is stated that the Allies have decided to occupy the War Office, the telegraphic and postal buildings, and certain other departments in Constantinople, in order to pre% T ent collaboration between the Turkish authorities and Mustapha. Received March 19, 9 a.m. Washington, March 16. The Allied Governments have asked the United States to participate in the Turkish Treaty. It is believed the Allies have submitted to the United States certain tentative proposals whereby the. Sultan will he allowed to remain at Constantinople, aa independent Armenia will be created and an International Com mission control *the Straits. It is not yet known whether recent developments in Cilicia* will influence these proposals, but it is understood that President Wilson will state categorically the United State’s attitude, especially on the question of the Sultan’s remaining at Constantinople which he is known to oppose.
