CONTROL OF CONSTANTINOPLE.

United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. London, March 17 In the Commons, replying to Mr Asquith in regard to tne Allied occupation of Constantinople, Mr Sonar Law stated that the general administration of Constantinople would not be taken over, but the Ministries of War and Marine would be occupied, and the postal and telegraphic services and the navigation of the Bosphorus would be controlled by Allied officers. There had been fighting only at one point, and it was reported that two British sol- 71 diers were killed and four wounded, and nine Turkish- soldiers were killed and others wounded. The Turkish Government had been warned th-it occupation would continue until the peace terms have been duly executed, and if outrages against native Christians continued the terms of peace will be made more severe.
