COMPULSORY VOTING.
Per Press Association. \ t . Wellington, March 18 Mr R L Paterson was credited with stating at the recent coufereuceof Chambers of Commerce that compulsory voting would oe passed next session, and for this ho hud the word of the Prime Minister himself. Mr Paterson says this was incorrect unA that what he did say was that no doubt compulsory voting would necome law next session, as be had the word of the Prime Minister in favour of this reform.
