. Per Press Association Wellington, March 18 A wireless from the Mokoia’s Parliamentary Party Bays We arrived at Vavau on Saturday and were officially welcomed by the. Governor, who explained that the. preparations for entertainment of visitors had been cancelled owing to non-arrival on the expected, date. The visitors were enthusiastic overthe magniflcient harbour scenery, which is the most beautiful yet witnessed. The party entered the Mariners’ Cave in boats and were cinomatographed. On Snnday at Nukualofa they attended a special musical service at the Free Ohnrch, where there was wonderful singing by the competing choirs. On Monday the Queen and her consort received the party at the Palace. On her birthday (Saturday) Sir James Allen, on behalf of the party, asked her acceptance of a travelling clock as a birthday gift. The Queen charmingly replied. She is folly six feet and looked the picture of a Queen in her European dress of white silk. Bain prevented picnicking, so a feast and native dances at Parliament House were substituted. Allen and members this morning called on Governor Rodwell, and later a civic reception was given by Major Scott, who thanked New Zealand for prompt assistance in the epidemic and the rece t despatch of the Tntanekai. The New Zealanders were never in actual conflict with the strikers A Trade Commission is basily inquiring into the various stoppages and now at Suva. The Commissioners and mauv of the party are staying over at Suva till the Mokoia’a return from Lautoka. All are well.
