STOCK REPORT. The Farmers’ Co-op Distributing Co, Ltd, report having held their usual Mangaweka sale on Thursday, llth inst, when a total yarding of 1530 sheep and 40 head of cattle were yarded. Competition was keen on all classes of sheep, cattle were still hard to quit. We quote :~M.s lambs 16s 7d, wether lambs 16s 4d, medium lambs 11s to 11s 9d, 2th wethers 81s 6d, 2th ewes 21s to 28s, small do 20s 3d, 4th wethers 83a, fat and forward ewes 25s 3d, fat ewes 81s 9d, bull lambs 4s Bd, 2>£ year steers £B, 2>£yr dairy heifers £7 18s, cows and calves £5 10s to £lO 2s 6d, mixed yearlings £4 12s 6d. Dalgefiy and Co, Ltd, report having a very good yarding of sheep and cattle at their . Feilding Sale on Friday, 12th March. All classes of sheep were in good demand, but a number of cattle failed to reach vendors’ reserves. At Taihape sale on Wednesday 10th inst, we had a very good yarding of sheep, and a fair yarding of cattle There was a keen demand right throughout the. day, and practically every line changed hands at prices highly satisfactory to vendors. We quote:—Cull lambs Bs, small lambs”l2s 9d, fair, lambs 18s 3d to 15s, very fair lambs to 16s, small 2th ewes 23s 3d to 245, small 2th wethers 23s to 23s Bd, mixed aged ewes 21s 8d to 23s 6d, mixed 2ths 20s to 29s Id, 4 and svr ewes 23s 9d to 26s 6d, fat ewes 80s 9d, 2th wethers 29s to 31s Id, small 4tb and fifch wethers 28s to 295, fat and forward cows £lO 15s, cows and calves £lO 15s, year bullocks £l3 15s, to £l4, - HIDES AND SKINS . Loan and Mercantile Co., Wellington, report:—The usual fort' nightly sale was held on Friday. Fairly large catalogues were offered, and buyers wore well represented, and included several Australian shippers and tanners. Competition was very keen for all sound lots, heavy hides selling at about 2d ana calf about above last sales. Damaged and” interior lots were somewhat neglected. Local tanners did not operate very extensively, the bulft of the offering being taken for shipment. We obtained lor a line of 66 51b calfskins, top price of the sale. Tallow was in good demand at about last sale rates. Tallow: In casks 57s to 81s 6d, in tins 48s to 745. Sundries: Horse hair to 23d, tails Is 6d to Is 7%d.
