MARKETING OF PRODUCE.
Per Press Association. Christchurch, March 15 Under the auspices of Canterbury Sheepowners’ Union a meeting of North Canterbury primary producers was held at Cheviot to go into the question of the future marketing of products. After full discussion, the following resolution was carried: That in view of the complexity of the present position in relation to the disposal of our products, and the many diverse interests interwoven with those of producers, and anticipating that strong representations will doubtless bo made by delegates from organisations opposed to the interests of actual producers; and as the Prime Minister and the High Commissioner, and the heads of their departments, are tho only persons in a position in which authentic information can be obtained in all matters pertaining to the questions in hand ; and having in view the strenuous efforts recently made by the Premier on behalf of the producers in regard to the meat question at Home; this meeting of sheepfarmars ask the Prime Minister to bear constantly in mind 0 the position from the producers’ point of view at tbe coming conference, and in view of the abnormal conditions prevailing express their copfidence that he will not allow strongly represented interests opposed to th.se of the producers to predominate at the coming conference.
