RAILWAYMEN'S CLAIMS.
MEETING OF A S.E.S. EXECUTIVE Per Press Association. Wellington* March 15 The executive of the A. S.R. S. met to-day to consider the report of the 1 Railway Commission and the attitude of the Society towards the recommendations in the report. Proceedings were private, ,and no report was issued by the executive. It is understood members of the executive were disposed to take up a firm attitude in support of the demand for better terms than are proposed in the Commission’s report. Concerted action bv the three railway employees’ organisations was suggested. 1 Members were strongly of opinion | that further pressure should be l i brought to bear upon the Govern--1 ment in support of the railwaymen’s I claims. i ' ■.
