PROVISIONS OF THE TREATY. London, March 8 It is understood that under the naval clause of the Turkish Treaty, Turkey will he allowed to possess no navy except a few revenue cutters, g The financial clauses of the Treaty are likely to follow on the lines of the Hungarian Treaty. The Turkish population is likely to he reduced from 30,000,000 to 6,000,000 owing to the large restriction of the territory of Turkey in Europe, which will be little beyond Constantinople. This will necessitate a readjustment of the Turkish debt, and ex-Turkish territories may he required to bear a portion of the burden. One of the first financial charges upon Turkey will be reparation for Greeks and other sufferers dispossessed of valuable property.
