Licensing Act, 1918, Section 64.-—“ No Licensing Poll shall at"any time thereafter be taken in any district. ” Marginal Note.—“No Licensing Polls to be taxen while National Prohibition in force.” The unfairness and danger of the Prohibition Movement is not fully understood. The people of New ’ Zealand are apt to forget if they really understood that Prohibition is a double danger and a snare politically, as well as an assault upon every elector’s personal freedom. The Prohibitionists assert that if you carry Prohibition you can next time vote for State Control. This is another Prohibition trick. There will be no next,time if you let the Prohibitionists 'put their liberty-de-stroying fad over you. * If„Prohibition is carried the Licensing Act does not provide for the taking of! another vote on the Licensing Question. If Continuance is carried {the Prohibitionists and the State Controllers will have a chance every three years of putting their proposals to the people; but if Continuance is lost the people’s right to vote on this question is forfeited for ever. Yet see how;the Prohibition agitators seek to deceive the people —men and women—of this Dominion. This is their cry: “Vote for Prohibition and then you can get State Control for nothing. ’• You must wake up. Do not be deceived by such assertions. If Prohibition is carried your Freedom is gone for ever. Therefore, retain your Freedom. Stand by the right of Justice to yourself and honesty to vour neighbour. Prohibition is a deception. It is neither just nor honest, and its advocates would deceive" you to get you to vote for Prohibition. Prohibition is not a fair proposition; if ohce you vote for it, and it is carried, your chance of voting for Continuqpce or State Control is gone. Do not be deceived by Prohibition agitators.
