RENT PROFITEERS.
OUTCRY IN LONDON. London, Oct. 13. The scandalous profiteering in houses and flats in London continues, and the public is raising a clamorous demand for Government control. The question will shortly be raised in Parliament, with a view to securing an extension of the powers of the Profiteering Act, to control rents. The public especially reseats the system adopted by landlords, who demand high premiums, which are called "key money."
