In connection with the hold-up of the steamers Kaiapoi and Kaitaugata the local disputes committee met today representatives of the Waterside Workers Associaton. The Union disclaimed any official knowledge of the cause of the unwillingness to work on the part of the watersiders, simply taking up the attitude that the situation was due to individual action on the part of the men. Although the deliberations lasted some time, no solution of the position wa 4 reached.
