SUCCESSFUL LIQUOR EXPERIMENT.

The Carlisle area Wartime Liquor Control experiment shows a net profit for the year, after deducting interest and depreciation and all charges, of £109,000 on a total capital of £1,400,000. The Times’ financial correspondent draws attention to the fact that the experiment has successfully demonstrated that the whole capital cost can be written off within a very few years.
