LONDON’S HIGH RATES.
London, Oct. 12. In connection with the forthcoming borough elections the newspapers draw attention to the heavy increases in rates. West Ham heads the list of Loudon boroughs with a rate of 15s ;7d. Kensington is the lowest, the rate being 8s lOd, The county rates have all been increased. At Merthyr Tydvil the rate paid is 17s Od.
