uOMBINED CAMP. A meeting of the committee was held in Marton on Thursday 33rd when further arrangements tor the big Christmas Camp were completed.
The use of the District High School and grounds has been granted by the High School Committee. The Camp will he in charge of the Rev K. McEariand of Mangaweka. Mr McFarland .has had considerable experience in similary camps in this and other districts. The Marton Troop are about to hold their championship competition to decide who is to hold the handsome silver cup presented by Mr Tripe. The cup is to be held for a year and the winners’ names are to be engraved on it. The alterations to the old hotel building in Bulla which is being converted into a social hall, are nearing completion. The building, has been given by Sir James Wilson as a meeting place for the Boy Scouts and Y. M. C.A. Preparations are now being made for a concert and social to open the hall. The Y. M. C. A. Secretary, Mr Laylor has promised to bring some prominent performers from Wanganui, who will kindly assist at the concert.
