Five rinks from Hnnterville visited Marten on Wednesday to play a return match with the local Club. Unfortunately rain set in when play commenced and completely spoilt the game. The players, however, continued up to the eleventh head under umbrellas and overcoats, when the rain became heavier, and an aajournment was accordingly made. Afternoon tea was then dis pensed under the supervision of Mesdames Gome and Low. Mr Gorrie, vice-president of the Marton Club, extended a cordial welcome to the visitors, which was duly acknowledged by Mr E»rle, president of the Hunterville Club. The skips ni*» and decided in' view of the unfavourable weather to declare the match a draw. - A Pairs Handicap Tournament will commence on the Marton Green immediately.
