CLEARING SALE REPORTS.

Tha N,Z, Coop., Distributing Co., report having held a most successful sale on Wednssday last on account of Mr A. S. Graham, Tutaenui Road, Marton, when all lots submitted were cleared [at satisfactory prices. Appended are principal sales Horses £l7 108, £l6 10s,f£l5, £l4 103 cow £ll, yearling heifers £4 7s 6d, 3 stacks oat sheaves £205, lorry £49, cultivator £29 M.U. binder £22, disc harrows £l7, 5 leaf harrows £7 10s, d.f plough £6, wire netting 40s, 38s, 37s per roll; 22 sacks oaten sheaf chaff 8s per sack, 280 chaff sacks £1 2a. Timber and a large quantity of sundries were all disposed of at satisfactory figures

On Thursday last we also report a very successful said on account of MrgW. J. Taylor,fTurakina Valley, when a representative gathering of farmers irons all parts of the district were present, and a good clearance was effected as follows;—200 breeding ewes 245, 289 ditto 23s 6d, 200 ditto 13s 2d. 208 maiden 4th ewes 28s 3d, 532 shorn lamhs 11s 9d, 91 4th wethers 27s lOd, 65 cull lamhs 8s B:i r 21 cull ewes and wethers 10s, 9 Romney rams 30«, 4 Lincoln ditto 20s, 19 steers £9]ls, 10 ditto £7 Is, 17 18 months ditto £4, 15 2yr heifers £7 10s 2 ditto £7, 4 ditto £4, S.H. bnll 10 gns, 2 cows, calves at foot £8 10s, dry cows £8 15s, cows in profit £lO to £7 Sse, 3 calves 10s. Sundries were all disposed of at market rates. STOCK RE ORT. Messrs Abraham and Williams Ltd., report: At Palmerston North on the 6th inst.,. we had a moderate yarding of both sheep and cattle. There was a very poor attendance and bidding was slack throughout. We quote: Fat wethers (small) to 24b 2d, fat b.f. 2-tooths 225, 2 and 4tooth ewes to 255, mixed aged ewes 18s Id to IS* 6d, cull ewes 10s, rape lambs 16s 3d to 18s 6d, small woolly lambs 8s to lls, forward cows £7[Bs to £9 8s 6d, store cows to £6, empty heifers £6 to £6 2s 6d, 20 month steers to £6, mixed weaners 15s to 355.
