MARTON BOROUGH £l,ooo LOAN.

To The Editor. Sir.—Kindly permit me, both as Mayor and as a resident and ratepayer. to thank those who voted for tiie above loan, b&cause they thus permit the Borough Council to b'-c-p its agreement on behalf of the town, enable it to act justly, a further liability for the ratepayers of £4OO or £SOO, enable it to carry out a permanent and useful improvement, and give it the means to safely provide more than double the water storage as compared with Ust year. Already the shortage ef last summer seems forgotten by some. The above is without appreciably increasing the rates.—l am, etc., F. C. WILSON, Mayor. 15th Auugst, 1018.
