SUPPLYING LIQUOR TO SOLDIERS
BARMAID FINED. Per Press Association. Dunedin, August 9. Kate Trestou, barmaid at the Crown Hotel, was fined £5 for supplying liqonr to soldiers under hospital treatment. This was'the first prosecution of the kind locally and tbs fine was small owing to the regulation being of comparatively recent data and the defendant’s ignorance of it.
