A YOUTHFUL CRIMINAL.

Per Pess Association. Palmerston North, August 9. (3 Richard Harold Edwin Giles, 13 j’ears of age, under sentence of four years’ reformative treatment and while waiting for farther sentence of two charges of theft escaped from the Palmerston goal on Sunday evening. He was arrested again at Oroua Downs on Wednesday, having broke into two dwellings meanwhile and committedtfurther thefts. He was brought before the court to day and pleaded guilty to all charges. He was sentenced to 12 months’ reformative treatment for escaping from goal and two months on each theft charge, concurrent with the original sentence of four year.
