BUSH FIRE’S RELIEF FUND.

A meeting was held in the Coronation Hall, Rougotea, on Thursday night, and was well attended dispite the fact, that the rain came down in a steady downpour the whole evening. Mr H. U. Hunt was elected chairman, and Mr EL J. Turner secretary. It was decided to open subscription lists, and to run a concert, with dance following at an early date. The following committee was then elected: —Mesdames T. Arnott, O. Burn, H. H, Hunt, H. J.Ransome, J. West, W. Sandorcock. Misses L. and K. Gould audi-E. *S. Hunt. Messrs H. H. Hunt chairman, H J. Turner, J,hon. secretary, D. Young. W. Baylis, L. Ponpard, G. Fox, F. Burgess, L. Hunt, G. Arnott, L. Arnott, P. Wilson, B. Lyail, F. Prentice, H. J. Ransome, P* Eglington. J Walsh, E. Gardiner, N-. Knight, S. Hammond, J. and W. Gloyu and A. t H. Burgess.
