Feb. 2h The Socialists in the Austrian Reichstrath demand that the Government accept the peace principles of President Wilson’s speech and forthwith begin negotiations for a general peace. The real business of the interAllied Labour and Socialist Conference has been postponed owing to the non-arrival of tho French, Italian and Serbian delegates. Only the British, Belgian and Roumanian were represented. Mr Ogden, chairman of the Parliamentary Committee of the Trade’s Union (Congress, presided. He described the gathering as unique and tho lirst evidence of the workers’ determination to take a deciding part in the war.
