Cheese: Market very firm, prices firmly’ maintained; Canadian, of which stocks are light, 115 s yd; English, Cheddar 118 s to 1225, New Zealand, white Ills to 115 s, coloured Hits to Ills; United States, less offering, 108 s to 110 s. Hemp: Market quiet, with tendency’ in favour of buyers, caused by heavy shipments having come to hand from Manila. It is reported that there is very littie New Zealand hemp offering. New Zealand good fair is realising £l9 10s, lair £l7 10s; M/imla, fair £55. For MayJnly delivery, New Zealand good fair is quoted at £lB, fair £4O; Manila, fair £sl: coarse £sl. The output from Manila for the week was 53,000 bales. Wheat; Market is quiet; Canadian offerings very’ small ; Canadian arrived 5Ss, April May delivery 57s ; Australian, afloat 01s; Argentine 00s.
