MARTON A. & P. ASSOCIATION.

The committee met last evening. Present: Messrs G. L. Marshall (chairman), J. A. Bush, E. Llloyd, W. C. Kensington, 1.5.0., H. Morrison, P. Miler, J. Simpson, A. Way, F. Bryce, F. Spencer, and E. C. Netherclift.

The Executive Committee reported that they had met a deputation from the Patriotic Societies in Martou and had made arrangements for the conduct of a large produce stall on the Show grounds, the proceeds to go to the patriotic funds. Votes of thanks were passed to the following donors: —Messrs F. C. Wilson £1 Is, O. Neumann £l, and Howard and Inglis £3. It was unanimously decided that as all surplus monies, after paying expenses, are to be devoted to patriotic purposes, the public will not be barrassed by appeals to contribute to collection boxes or to purchase lottery tickets. Mr H. Harrison, Upper Tutaenui, was elected a member of the Society. The schedules for the forthcoming Show are now printed and may be obtained on application to the secretary, Mr J. Robson. Mr J. Morrison gave notice of motion to move that the resolution donating the profits to the wounded soldiers be rescinded, and that the profits be devoted to patriotic purposes.
