The Coal Lumpers’ Union considered the employers’ reply to theif demands and decided they were not acceptable. The cessation of work continues. It is stated in shipping circles that the Federal Government commandeers aJI the coal in other States for the transports. This will mean that no coal is available for private shipping unless they are able to coal in Newcastle, which is considered improbable, as it is anticipated the Newcastle lumpers will act in unison with Sydney.
