THE AUCKLAND SENSATION.
VERDICT OE SUICIDE. Per Press Association. Auckland, December 1. The inquest on Albion George Gauden, who on November 14th shot his wife ami then committed suicide, was resumed to-day. V Mrs Ganelin, in her evidence, said for three y ars she and her husband lived unhappily, consequently she lecided to leave him. She returned, taking the child with tier to get some clothing. She rang the 'door jell, and explained to her husband what she ium come for... Her hnsTaud said “.ML right, come in.” 3he was collecting clothing and whistling a : she did so. She could lot say why she was whistling. She tsked her husband if some wrapping >aper she wanted was of any* use to iim. He, didn't, answer but fired l.even shot;- at her. Sim ran out ot the house loreaming, ■■Other evidence was to the effect Shat Gaud in was found dead in the Sobrway in a pool * f bland with a 'ovolver in his right hum!. The coroner returned a verdict of :mcide.
