Napier Park Racing Club made a profit for. the year of £1,043, notwithstanding £IOB4 expended in improvements and additions to the stakes. . - - . MARTON SPRING MEETING. TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. The Railway Department has catered in a very businesslike manner for the large number of passengers that are sure to make the trip to the Marton Races on Wednesday next, and'holiday excursion tickets available for return until - 4th September will be, issued toMarton on 3rd September by morning trains from Paimerston, Wanganui, Taihape and intermediate stations. A passenger train will leave Taihape at 8 a.m., TJtiku at 8.16 a.m., Mangawefea at 8.48 am., Ohingaiti at 9.'5, Hunterville at 9 50, arriving at Marton at 10.45 a.m. The return train will leave Marton at 7.10 p.m. Trains will leave Paimerston at 7.10 a.m. and 9.50 a.m., Feilding at 7.55 and 10.32 a.m., Halcombe 8.38 and 10 54 a.m., Greatford 8.55 and 11.14 am., arriving at Marton at'9.7 and 11.23 a.m. Return trains will leave at 5.30 and 7 p.m. Trains -will leave .Wanganui at 7 and 8.15 a.m, Aramobo at 7.13 and 8.28 a.m., Fordell at 7.50 and 9.12 a.m., Turakina at 8.30 and 10 a.m., arriving at Marton at 9.13 and 10.40 a.m. •

Return trains will leave at 5.20 and 6.53 p.m.
