' Berlin, August 28, A gang of thieves holds the Meyer necklace for ransom. nn . [The necklace is valued at £126,000 and was stolen on July 16th in transit through the post from Paris to Hatton Garden. The package was received with the seals intact, but on this being opened at its destination it was found that the necklace had been stolen and replaced by sugar.]
