The above Olnb concluded its soaaonby a final oompetitionjon the Bolls range on Wednesday afternoon.

At the conclusion of the shooting, the patron (Mr L. M. Taverner) presented the prizes won during th», season, aud stated the Club commenced shooting on 28th August, 1912, and has held twenty competitions, which is very creditable to the officers and members of the Club. A number of handsome trophies were presented at different times by enthusiasts in rifle shooting, which goes to show the keen interest taken in the sport in this district. Mr W. B. Clark, carried out’ liitT duties, and the veteran sportsman makes an ideal secretary. The shooting throughout the season has been of a very high standard, no fewer than seven possibles being registered. The championship of the Club goes to Rifleman E. .M. Broughton with an average of 94 (including handicaps) for ten shoots, and he holds the coveted Levin Unp for the 1912-i 3 season. There is no doubt that the great success of the Club is due to the untiring energy of its worthy president, Mr (j. M. Broughton, who has devoted a good deal of time to farthering this useful sport in the district, aud it is the hope of the members of the Clnb that he will long continue to hold his present office. To Mr O. E. Levett is also due the Club’s thanks for performing the onerous duties of handicapper and treasurer, and that he carried out his duties to the satisfaction of the members is evidenced bv the number of prizewinners.

J. Ransom; W. Oldfield’s trophy, F Simpson; Clarkson’s trophy, J. Bromley; Club’s trophy, E. M. Broughton; F. Simpson’s trophy, W. Monk; W. B. Clark’s trophy, F. Simpson; A. Brown’s trophy, W. B. Clark; W. S. Penny’s trophy, E. M. Broughton; O. M. Broughton’s trophy, J. Hansom; J. Anstis’ trophy, O. M. Broughton. Club’s possible prizes, from 300 to 600 yards. —Q. L. Clark (500), W. A. Lumsden (500), O. M. Broughton (300 and 500) and W. Monks; 800 to 1000 yards, C. M. ‘Broughton and A. Brown (possibles at 800), Aggregate off gun: Jones and McGregor’s trophy, £F. Simpson, 97, 1. Aggregate with handicap, W. Hosking’s trophy, J.*Biomley, 98, 1. Cheers were then given for the ladies, the patron and president, and tbe winners, and a most successful season ended.
