Conference decided to cail'the attention of local bodies to the need for better supervision of drivers of draye, and that every dray should have a separate driver. A motionrwas passed urging the suppression of the use of pea-rifles by the youths of the Dominion. It was also decided: "That it is desirable that paid drivers and owners-of vehicles used for fcrade be licensed, and that steps be taken to have legislative amendments to enable locfl authorities to make bylaws to provide for same. " The need for better facilities for the transit of stock by sea and rail was affirmed.
