ROMANOFF TERCENTENARY.

The streets were splendidly decorated and illuminated in celebration of the tercentenary of the Romanoff line ascending the throne. There were special services in the churches, whereat the Cast’s manifesto was read recalling Russia’s progress in civilisation, industry and art. St. Petersburg, March 6. A Cossack carried the Tsarevitch into the Kazan Cathedral, where the Romanoff service was held. The congregation sat or stood throughout and did not kneel. Immense enthusiasm was shown by enormous crowds in the streets.
