WOOL SALES.

Per Press Association. Christchurch, December 11. At the second wool sale of the series 17,691 bales were catalogued. There was a large attendance of buyers and keen competition for all lots. Prices showed an improvement on November rates. In merino little'was offered and prices were 9J£d to 12%d, halfbred 9>£d to 14>£d, three-quarter bred to 13%d. In crossbredilittle offered at 8d to long wool B}£d to 10-%'d, Corriedale ll}£d to 13%d, Down wool lid to 13d. Pieces showed Id increase on last sale.
